The Ayalon Maternity Plan
(all the normal coverage PLUS maternity!)

Covered without any Waiting period

Covered with a 9 Month Waiting Period
(before pregnancy)

1) The Actual Birth, in any Israeli Hospital
(Note: Private doctors are not covered for birth).

2) Hospital stays due to pregnancy complications

C-Sections

Bonus: If you do not have the 9 month waiting period, we can still arrange for you a "cost-price" rate, for birth in the Share-Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem. This means you would pay as much as it would cost an Israeli citizen. The difference in price is substantial. For example, a normal, natural birth with two nights in the hospital costs an Israeli citizen about 8,500 NIS as opposed to approximately 17,000 NIS that it costs for non Israelis/tourists. Please Note:

1) The Maternity plan covers everything that is included in the standard $1/day plan as well.

2) Maternity cannot be added to the standard insurance plan upon becoming pregnant. If you want to add maternity in middle of your coverage, you will be charged the higher retroactively from the beginning of your coverage.

3) The Maternity plan can only be joined for a minimum of 6 months.

4) The Maternity plan covers all women's doctors that work with Leumit. You can find out which ones work with the Leumit closest to you by calling the Insurance Center's 1800-606464 hotline.
