What do we have that HAREL doesn't have?

-       Harel provides medical services through private doctors – they have a small booklet of contracted doctors that they work with. You can’t compare that to the services of a Government backed Kupat Cholim with close to 400 branches throughout Israel, specialists in all fields, and hundreds of pharmacies throughout Israel (in every town and city).

-         With Harel there are no routine checkups. You have to have a real problem in order to be able to see a doctor. With us, you can see a doctor even if you have no problems. You’re a regular Kupat Cholim member. (Obviously they won't make you blood tests and x-rays for no reason, but you can have a general check-up any time).

“Harel's Tour & Care Plan”

(The cheaper plan, for shorter periods)

-         Harel’s “Tour & Care” plan has a 7 day minimum and a 1 year maximum. In our plan there is no minimum or maximum. You can sign up for one day if you want, or for 10 years. The problem with having a one year maximum is that if you want to renew the plan after a year, all pre-existing conditions that might have developed during your year won’t be covered in the new year.

-         Also, their plan costs more. It’s $1.40 a day. We start out at $1 / day and offer significant deductions for larger groups.

-         Also, this plan of Harel only covers up to $200 of medication per year. Our plan has no limit on the medication, and no deductibles. As long as the medicine is in the health basket ("Sal Hatrufot") it’s free.

“Harel's Live & Care Plan”

(More expensive, for longer periods, includes maternity - for $2.60 a day)

-         Harel’s “Live & Care” plan has a 6 month minimum and a 5 year maximum. By us there is no minimum or maximum. You can sign up for one day if you want, or for 10 years.

-         Also, Harel has a $50 cancellation fee which we don’t have.

-         Also, their plan costs more. It’s over $1.50 a day till age 21 and over age 21 it’s more than $1.75 a day. We start out at only $1 / day and we offer significant deductions for larger groups.

-         And not only is it more expensive, there’s also a $5 deductible on every doctor visit and $3 deductible on every medicine you need.

-         The maternity plan that comes with this policy has a ten month waiting period. Our maternity plan has no waiting period at all. You just sign up and you are covered for all the checkups and test you need. (And our maternity plan is about $40 cheaper per year than theirs).
