| 1. Are pre-existing conditions covered by your insurance? | Prior conditions are not covered. However, Any condition that develops while you're insured (that is not connected to a prior condition), is fully covered. Also, even for prior conditions you may ask a family doctor for advice and prescriptions that pertain to the pre-existing condition, free of charge. The actual medicines for prior conditions however, are not free, nor are any related hospital stays or specialists that are related to the pre-existing condition. |
| 2. Is there a minimum amount of days that we need to be signed up for? | No. |
| 4. Can I insure my children as well? | Yes, but children cost more that adults. Please see the "Rates" tab on the menu bar above, for more info. Also, an additional form must be filled in for each child. Please see the "Join" tab in the menu bar above to download the necessary forms. |
| 5. What emergency dental work is covered? | If you are in pain and need emergency care, you may call the insurance center for a dental clinic that will stabilize your pain until you are able to get an appointment on your own, to fix the problem. |
| 6. Is there any waiting period for coverage? | No. |

| 18. If I think I need to go to the hospital, can I just go? |
If you think you need to go to the hospital, do not just go. You should first see a doctor and get a referral (hafnayah) to the hospital. Often the doctor will be able to solve the issue without you needing to go to the hospital at all. If you go to the hospital without a referral and it turns out that a doctor could have solved the problem, you will not be refunded. Please download our information sheets for more info. |
| 19. If the clinics are closed (after hours), what can I do to receive urgent health care? |
Call the insurance Center, 24 hours, and ask for a free doctor house call. The doctor will check you and if necessary give you a referral to the hospital. You can also go to Terem in Jerusalem. If necessary, they too can provide you with a referral to the hospital. Only in real emergencies should you go to the hospital without a referral (see question 18). |
